Our Methodology

The Integrative Pluralistic Approach developed by ASPIC

The model of intervention adopted by ASPIC Lavoro is the Integrative Pluralistic approach developed by ASPIC, which includes both research-based and practice-based methods.

The model has been properly customized for its application in vocational designing, career orientation and training, and draws from:

the “Life Designing” narrative constructivist approach (Savickas), which is contextual, holistic, preventive and applicable throughout a lifetime;

the Humanistic Psychology (Carl Rogers, A. Maslow) with its recognition of the centrality of the individual and trust in the actualization and self-realization tendency of each person, which unfolds in a unique manner.

the Gestalt Therapy approach (F. Perls) -  which is also a Humanistic approach - with its process-based field theory and focus on the person-environment contact, applied to work-related situations as well as to social and business environments.

the Transtheoretical Model of Change (Stages of Change) developed by Prochaska, Norcross and Di Clemente, resulting from clinical and behavioral change, here applied to work and career issues as a model of intentional change.

a selection of experiential learning methods (learning by doing).

The characteristics of transversality, flexibility and adaptability of our operational model allow us to make use a wide range of tools and techniques at various levels:

  • the individual and group level;
  • the organizational level (companies, State structures, institutions, associations);
  • the local and professional community level (sensitization and awareness raising, establishment of a social and professional networking attitude).
